It's not a 968, it's a 951 with a 968 rear conversion...

Your cayman is very well put together. Love the red and black combo.

Lol.

Also, how about the 997 turbo with the LS6 in it? Must be some interesting story behind that one...or just too much money? How could that even happen? What you blew up your brand new turbo motor so decided to replace it with a V8?
Oh well. Apparently RUF is going to build their own small block 4.5L V8 and put it in one of their new cars.

Uh...I think the 914 has the LS6, not the 997. The 914 is for sale for 45k.

Whoopsy, you're right Darwin. Wasn't paying enough attention. D'oh. $45k for a 914/8 is a lot of money up your way. Wonder what else is in that spec?

So if the 959 was a clone, what is in the engine bay?

I would rather see one that was driven hard instead of polished…most of the CGT’s I have seen were garage queens – never been used to do what they were designed for.

BTW – very annoying that Hershey is on the same weekend as the opening of Watkins Glen!

so what was that 959 conversion based on? some kind of a 993 ...

btw, I LOVE CGT's, but I have YET to see one around here (though there are rumors that there are a couple up here)

I just love this car, LOL

edit: screw life/house/kids ... I just want a CGT haha

The 959 clone is based on a 79 euro sc and powered by a worked euro 3.0 putting down 265hp w/ a 2450lb weight. She is a handful.

I understand Chris, but If I was going to one of the biggest Porsche meets in the country I would still clean her up...

I think he was referring to the fact that most CGT owners buy them as status symbols and relegate them to Garage Queen duties, rather than drive them hard and take them to the track as they were intended to do.

yeah I would agree with that statement as well, I mean I understand they cost a hell of a lot, but I couldn't buy a car and not drive it either.
