Delrin spring plate bushing troubles
Approximately 3/4 inch of the bushing (outer) remains exposed and obviously extremely tight - even after considerable honing (polished to shiney smooth). How much "honing" does this take? Suggestions? These are Racers Edge bushings . Help

the weltmeister solid composite bushing take a fair bit of material removal for fitting. They make them big to accommodate for all vehicles' variations. I would expect you will have to do the same. Just a little at a time however..... once you get it too small they are junk!

I took me a fair bit of honing to get the proper fit. Make sure your honing stones are short enough to fit completely into the recess so you don't bevel it. The spring plate needs to rotate, but should be fairly firm doing so by hand.

The outer mount is aluminum…easy to clog up honing stone with aluminum.
It does take quite a bit of work to fit them – there was a huge tolerance range for the original parts so the new bushing s are on the large size to make sure they will fit all applications.
