Sorry, i forget that you guys don't care about "usable power".

For dyno-queens, peak horsepower, and useless hp/tq curves...the 2JZ is definitely the way to go.

ROTFL.

Whatever - guess we should all be running V16, because more cylinders = better right

The funniest part is that I like the LS series and think they are good motors. But they are not the top tier.

Well, that's your perspective, but wait until you are 40+ and your demand for Viagra increases as your need for more cylinders, because your wiener is getting smaller by the day and you can't longer hold a erection for more than a few seconds, then just like my friend ls1porch the LS platform will be the top tier for you.

Not cylinders, displacement! I'm not even a brand junkie.
The 2JZ simply doesn't have enough displacement to spool up the turbos that people put on them, which is why they end up with completely useless power curves that don't even begin until 6-7000rpms! (Seriously...google 2JZ dynos! Anything that makes ~500+hp is making ~150hp up to 5000rpms. Boooring!) If all you're doing is freeway roll-racing then that's not a problem, but for stop-and-go traffic, you might as well be driving an n/a 4-banger.

The LS-motors might not be top-tier, but the 2JZ is nothing more than a 20 year old reminder that if you strap a big enough turbo on just about anything, it will produce big numbers!

I believe the phrase is "you can only polish a turd so much" So.... by that saying it is possible to polish a turd but only to a certain extent.

Lart: where are pictures of the car? is it a supra? or something else

Are you saying the 944 is a turd?

Imagine how that supra would stack up against this TT Gallardo:

Here's a 1000hp TT Corvette:

To polish a turd would it be advisable to use Wet and Dry first?
