Default wastegate question

Alright, so I have an archaic looking tial 38mm wastegate on my car that I want to replace. My future plans for the car would be for a 2.5 or 2.7 liter built motor with a 30r on it.

My question is, should I stay with a 38mm wastegate, or should I get a bigger one. And also how do I know which springs to put in it if my car runs 16 psi as my high boost?

38mm is fine for plenty for lots of others with good cars but it is smaller than the stock one ..
the right spring realy depends on what kind of boost control set up you have ?
genrally speaking the spring should be a little softer than your lowest boost setting
