Default Squirrel Devastation. In the 951.

I will just let the pics speak for themselves.
Started taking things apart to check something out, unrelated to all of this...
Car did not vibrate at all - I had no idea.

I will admit... The belts were replaced 24k miles ago. In 1996....

Yes that is what was inside my BELT COVERS!

Let's just say... Next time I might not swerve.

Glad you didn't slip a belt of ruin a turbo. Squirrels and mice love car engines. Was it parked in a outside shed?

It had been parked outside through this winter. As of last week I finally have it in a garage!

Thats nuts . Hope they diddent harm other parts of the engine such as got into the ic pipes and stored food there. Although i doubt that i would still check under the air filter. And also see if the rodents have been eating your rubber hoses..

I've never seen damage like that before! At least you didn't get mice inside the passenger compartment.

Make sure you have a tape measure handy when you fire it up – I want to know how far the nuts shoot out your exhaust pipe!!

As funny as that is. they have been know to buld nest in exhaust and cause the car to choke itself. My friends sold a 5.0 mustang that they couldnt get to run past idle. with almost 1500 in parts. sold for 500 dollars and turns out the exhaust had a nest in it..... The car ran perfect once the exhaust was cleaned out.

I've also had squirrel problems.

Same type of mess in the air filter housing. I solved that part by putting some wire mesh over the intake tube. No trouble with that since.

Still get a large pile of acorn shells and squirrel droppings under the hood on top of the passenger side strut tower, as well as on the intake manifold and a little on the top of the radiator. I can clean it out, and it's back within a couple days. Luckily, they're busy eating acorns and not wiring or hoses.

I don't like to generalize, but I dislike squirrels. Sure, they're okay individually, but when they're in a group...

Funny you mention that, when we pulled my dad's Camaro out of storage for the first time in 20 years, it shot a flaming mouse nest out of the muffler on the first start up.

Didn't smell to good, but the nest was gone!
