Default Need livery ideas for the racecar

I am looking for opinions on what livery I should do for the ex-Technodyne racecar. I am torn between going with the original Technodyne livery that the car was originally raced with or going with something else. Always like the Martini look - looks good on a silver car - but that has been done quite a bit. I went in with some buddies to buy a vinyl machine so will want to use that versus going with a full wrap which would be expensive so it can't be too elaborate.

Here are a couple of shots of the Technodyne livery:

anything but th Mobil 1 scheme ................ thats so common I think original design if it was origiinally a race car is the way to go as it adds heritige!

Vinyl cutter is the way to go and so easy to use. I knocked all my graphics out in no time.

About $450. You need to get like 3 of your friends interested, then it is only about $112 each. Right Skip ?

John just cut me some new numbers for the ones I had to take off my car. I kind of like not having it at my house right now.

You could do that Technodyne look with some nice carbon fiber look material. Maybe the technodyne with some flames. Just dont do the german police car. Or, a perfectly matching german police car would be cool.

Yeah the tool co-op thing works great. Ed, myself and a couple others also bought other bigger ticket stuff like longacre scales in addition to the vinyl cutter. A lot palatable when you split the cost 4 or 5 ways and none of this stuff is stuff that is needed on a real frequent basis.

The black vinyl graphics would work well IMHO, look good on the silver. Vote for retro, Technodyne, now you technically have a Technodyne manufactured exhaust section to match. What all did you get off Lemms car, shocks and A arms, been to long to remember. All that was from Cervilli as well.

Silver/black/red livery based on what Audi has been using for the R8/R10/R15 series.

Skip,

How about something new but with a deliberate nod to the old livery?

btw, how much does it cost to have the whole car wrapped?

Consider over laying some contrasting/bright color over the original pattern. The gray and black is uber German.

Getting a whole car wrapped cost $3-$5k. I am just doing vinyl graphics. 4 of us local guys split the cost of a D size vinyl cutter ~ $450 for the machine as Ed said above. A roll of 24" x 10 yd vinyl is only like $25.

Just the Charlie arms and now the exhaust. Would have loved to have the original JRZ's that Chris had on the car when he raced it. I am strongly leaning towards the retro graphics.
