Default FOR SALE: 944 Turbo Parts

Following up on the posting I just placed today on the thread about the October 2007 sale of my 944 turbo race car project, I have the following 944 turbo parts for sale:

* Limited slip “AOR” transaxle with only 40k original miles. I bought this approx 6 years ago for my race car because I knew it was in great condition and has never been rebuilt (which is good because most folks don't know how to rebuilt these transaxles properly and usually the rebuilds just result in more problems). Unfortunately, I paid $2,900 for it back then but I know the value for these things has dropped over the years. I don’t quite know what these are worth today so I will offer it for sale for $1,800 plus shipping. This price includes a very strong shipping crate that I built from ¾” plywood. SOLD.

* Brand new Lindsey Racing dual port wastegate. Sells new for $420 plus a $300 core charge (if you don’t have a good core). Instead of paying up to $720, you can buy mine for $350 plus shipping. You will notice from the pictures that mine was built using a very good core with the larger cooling fins. SOLD.

* Used free flowing polished stainless steel 2.5” exhaust that runs from the turbo down pipe to the rear section of the exhaust. I think these things are called “test pipes” because they replace the heavy and restrictive catalytic converters. $350 plus shipping. SOLD.

* New heavy duty factory cup clutch disc (also known as the “sport” disc). Sells new for $425. Will sell mine for $300 plus shipping. SOLD.

* New factory pressure plate with new release bearing. Sells new for $400. Will sell mine for $275 plus shipping. SOLD.

* Pair of new engine mounts (951.375.042.04A). Sells new for $400/pair. Will sell for $200 for the pair. SOLD.

* Used intercooler in excellent condition. $100 plus shipping.

* Front “batwing”. I have no idea what this is worth, therefore, I will start at $75 plus shipping. SOLD.

* Factory turbo side skirts. I think these could probably be installed on a regular 944 if you wanted that “turbo look” for your non-turbo. $50 plus shipping. SOLD.

I am going to start adding photos to this thread with separate replies for each item.

I was also going to post these parts in the Rennlist Classifieds, but I can’t figure out how to log into that section of the website right now.

Jeff

Actually, my trans didn't need to be cleaned. It is in the same condition as when it was removed around 6 years ago. My transaxle has such low miles on it that it never really got dirty.

Regarding cleaning a dirty transaxle, I would think you could use some degreaser and a hose (or power washer) if you wanted.

Jeff,

Do you have the other 2 pieces that go to the side skirts?

If yes, I will take them.

TIA

I might have them, however, I am not exactly sure what the other 2 pieces are? Are there a couple of pieces that are under the front fenders right behind the front wheels?
