Default 951 rally car project update

Here is the pictures of my project. At the moment we have finished the construction of the rollcage. It is made from T45 steel with 1,6 mm thickness and with 28,6\38,6 and 44,5 mm diameter.
Now we have to reinforce the chassis and finsh the front suspension strut bar (also
welded to the chassis).

Regards

What is the viewpoint when having the cage go a long way forwards and to the rear in regards to crumple space?

well the car will require more energy to fold in so in some instances it may be safer .
but in some cases it will transfer damage from one corner to every where like in Eric bana's case . you hit a rock or tree the car looks repairable but its trashed
Tell us a bit more about how the cage was designed please.
it is very different
The head room looks great the ROP looks great none of the 4 corner's are gonna fold in..
side intrusion looks to have a bit of a hole but if you are just going to put it into the trees i guess it will be fine .. there genrally is no body driving into the door in rally hey ?looks like it will be OK to get in and out of .
I would box the foot wells a little i have herd o a lot of lower leg injuries when the wheel intrudes .

looks great did you look at that 944T rally car in the stutgart museam?

What sort of series would you be able to use an old 944 in?

In Europe Historic Rally series. At the moment older 911's are quite common there.

Here's a replica of Henri Toivonen's old 911 built in Finland
