Default 89 non sunroof car for sale

Not affiliated, etc. Thought I'd post it here since I'm local and could check it out if someone is interested. Price seems high, but what do I know?

Spec seems nice, but the price does seem a tich steep for today's situation.

I think that was the car SSI sold awhile back.
IIRC, it was a JDM Spec. SSI was asking around $13k or $14k.
Don't know what they sold it for.

If it is the car SSI had, it was really nice at the time I saw it.

Cool car, only problem is if in CA it might be a bit hard to get smogged and registered if doesnt have the proper sticker! Also with a complete re-paint it might be hard to fetch that price? But a rare grey market car thats already in the country will find someones garage happy?

Mine 89 is euro sepc w/o sunroof also, same with old style steering wheel w/o air bag. The car shd have no cat and can use leaded/unleaded fuel. No O2 sensor.
Also mine came with half leather seat (not 88 checker seat) with Porsche logo vinyl.
M030, big break, LSD were standard on 89 model.
Just wonder is the non sunroof version really rare ROW?

Not far off for cup car replica guys?? By the time you find a good turbo S, and source a good non airbag dash, steering wheel, remove all the wiring and guts for it, then go to the trouble of deleting the roof you would easily be around 15K plus this way you get the real stickers, ROW vin #, and the euro bumpers and fenders!

Seems like the ROW 944's had about 1/2 sunroof, 1/2 without!

I wonder why that car has changed hands a couple times in the last year. Looks nice enough from the pictures. Anyone have any insight (not that I'm interested, just curious).

Looks a lot like the SSI car. If it is, then it should be rock solid.

E-mailed the guy he e-mailed me back with one of those long drawn out stories at how rare the car is and it was a barn find sitting at SSI under a cover for 2 years after it was imported over into the country from Europe! Its had a complete re-paint, no manuals, no option code sticker, only paperwork from when SSI imported it! He said it is a 1989 951 with the usual delete stuff alot of the european cars had. However it DOES NOT have LSD so either someone took it out or it never came with it. M030 is really all it has going for it! 68K miles and a very high price, he said he has had alot of interest and thinking about raising the price a little!

If Euro spec with M030, it must have LSD. Someone took it out before.
Mine is the one with very few option,
-M030
-LSD
-gearbox oil cooler
And 3 more, thats it.

Actually, Euro spec was more options than US spec, as many options became standard in US spec.
