Default Removing side rubbing strips

Hi all, I'm sure some of you have done the above, did you have to drill-out the steel rivet on the inside lip of the door, or is there another way? Thanks, Ben

both times I did it there was a screw not a metal rivet on the inside of the door. Either way you will need to remove it. I then used some heat to gently help prize away from the door the strip. I then used some 3M adhesive remover to clean up the area. Providing the car has no tbeen resprayed in iots life it should be good! My first car had been resprayed and they had sprayed over the mouldings so it looked terrble

Yes I am a bit worried about that, but cannot see any evidence of a respray. Mine definately has rivets unfortunately!

Drill the rivet out, easily done.
