Does 9,5 inch, ET49 rims as front wheels??
Hello,
I am trying to use the same rims all around. And now I have the chance to buy complete set of rims at an affordable price. Big question: does it work?
Currently Im using 9,5 inch rims, ET 49 in the rear. Would these also work in the front?
My car is on jackstands and I dont have the full set to try them out, so to get a feeling I put the two I had on the right side. As you can see the rim is just about to peek outside the body in the front.
It looks like that the track width will be slightly more bigger compared to rear.
Anyone knows if this rim size is OK?
Cheers

I dont think the offset will work for your application. With proper tires, they will stick out enough to rub. There is enough room in the fender for some pretty wide tires but the ET has to be just right. I have 245s on 8" wide rims with 50 et and 4mm spacers so that's 46 mm offsets. I have more room in the inside but flush with the fenders on the outside.

remember although it rarely done its fine to run a 245 on a 9.5 rim the tire is very stable on the wide base rim..if you have even one you can try it on..
early or late offset car ?
