I've been looking for cup 1's - don't want to use spacers. I have not found anything. Also for $400 how beat up were they...

Not bad at all. A little curb rash and one wasnt quite right but balances out (Mila replicas) I want to paint mine flat black to go on my car (Guard red) Same here i dont want to use spacers. I know of a set that someone is selling You have a PM

anyway tell me what is directly behind the 5 spokes...I spoked at it and seems like plastic. Also on one of the bolts is a cover, I just noticed that...????

They need to come off!
They are "shields" to keep brake dust off your wheels at the cost of extra heat on your brakes.
I think they are made by cleanwheels or something.

Factory dust shields. My 80 931 had them too. Take them off!

Put some petroleum jelly on those wheels sir! It gives them a beautiful satin black look (and is recommended to by your owner's manual).

What do you mean by "I spoked at it and it looks plastic?" Also are they brake dust shields on there? Not a great idea in my opinion. Specially since they're only designed to keep brake dust off your wheels and it doesn't look like that's really a priority for you. Take them off and play frisbee with them.

polished simmons FR17s, street wheels 7s and 9s, and the track wheels are 9s and 10s.
