I was surprised to see the KW V3 coilovers have plastic perches and spring hats. Apparently, this is not an uncommon thing these days. However, I'm surprised plastic would be chosen for these key parts of of a suspension system, particularly in a track intended design.
Anyone have problems with plastic parts here (KW or otherwise)?
I wonder how easy it would be to get replacement parts for the KWs if I needed to...

No problems.
Check out www.kw-suspension.com /KW spring strut construction + spareparts
There is some steel inside those polyamide composite perches and hats.
