Bored Today - Interesting Weight Reduction Numbers
Since many things are currently out of my car, I decided to weigh a bunch of parts (with my bathroom scale - i.e. not accurate). Some of you might find it of interest.
Stock non-sport seat (leather, heated, electric, including sliders) = 53lb
Recaro SRD = 36lb (incl. sliders) + 3lb seatbelt buckle and buckle/sub-strap mounting plate = 39lb (-14lb)
Sparco Evo L = 29lb (incl. side mounts and sliders) + 3lb seatbelt buckle and buckle/sub-strap mounting plate = 32lb (-21lb)
So, throw in a pair of Sparcos and shed 42lb
Stock flywheel = 14.5lb
Fidanza aluminum flywheel = 5.5lb
Stock pressure plate (incl. ring gear and release bearing) = 19lb
KEP Stg1 aluminum pressure plate (incl. ring gear and release bearing) = 15lb
Therefore, Fidanza + KEP combo sheds 13lb, which works out to a 39% weight reduction.

It's a handy list. I can't verify it all and it's not mine, but it's a good reference.
I got it from here. I think there is a better list in this thread actually.
