Default 3 bar FPR same as stock 968 FPR?

Just a quick question.
I have a new 3 bar FPR to be used on a chipped 944 Turbo, my question is if this 3 bar FPR is the same as a 944 S2/968 stock FPR?
I am asking, because I want to use it on a stock 968.

Regards
B

The connections are the same if you have a late build 1989-91 Turbo S . . built on or after December 1988 IIRC.

I am not sure on that - at least here in the states (latest 951 was 89') all the 951’s have the 2.5 style fuel pressure regulator. The 3.8 has different connection points and threaded fittings – it will not fit on the 2.5 turbo fuel rail.

After 1989 951 chassis number 95KN101326 [looked up in PET] the later screw on compression fittings for the fuel lines/regulator were used. I have attached a picture of one installed on my 951 Cab [shinny one in pic]; the S2 fuel rail/regulator is laid on top as reference.
