Default 88 Oil Light issue

I am getting the oil light coming on after about 30 minutes of driving. The oil pressure is still reading 4 to 4.5, no smells nothing. I let the car sitting for a few minutes and it stays off, but it does come back. I have taken the chance and kept driving and no issues at all.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure it's not just the oil level light? Is it on the lower left (level) or right (pressure) of the dash? My 944S oil level light comes on when I am less than a 1/2 quart low on the stick which is a PIA if driving on steep roads. If it's a the level sensor they are expensive but it could also be the ribbon contacts near the gauge. If it's the pressure light and OP is good you probably have a failing OP sender on the oil cooler housing.

huh.. made me starting thinking about when the light comes on. But seems to just be after time certain time frame. Did notice that on a hard start it did come on.. that might be the oil stiffing.
