Default Do I need a new throttle body?

For awhile now I've had trouble getting the idle screw out. No matter how many times I turned it to back it out I would have to grab it and yank it out and it took some force and fiddling to do so. Now, even with a new screw, it seems to have stripped. I was putting it back in and it wont go down any further and will not back out at all.

Put lots of grease on a tap and chase the threads.

I'll have to drill out the screw first right? What size tap?

I cant find the thread specs, but I'd get the new one before you drill the old one. You can get to the backside if any debris falls in, but I'd grease the drill bits, too.

Pull the rubber o-ring off and see if it threads in to be sure it's not just stopping on that. Also if your going to tap definately remove the TB to do it, its only 4 screws.

Well dopey me. Turns out it hadn't stripped. The head is chewed up from my having to grab it with pliers to wiggle and yank it out. The socket I was using was slipping so I just got a different size that held on good.

Now if I could just get the thread size so I can chase the threads with a tap and clean it up so it doesnt get caught when I need to take it out.
