for a 951S is the usual 96 ft/lbs... -right?

thats what I torque them too. havent had a wheel fall off yet... at least on this car

Not that it amtters all too much but i believe that the 944 Al lugs are less, like 80 lb ft, the current production cars with steel bolts are 98lb ft.

My memory says 94 lbs, for 87 NA and 88 944T. I usually torque to 100. I have gotten them back from shops at 60 to 120 without cracking the wheel, so I guess 100 is ok.

I wouldn't worried so much about cracking the wheel outside of stripping a lug nut.

Factory Manuals says 130NM/96 ft/lbs.

Good rule of thumb I read on RL once was 88 ft/lbs, which was the speed the DeLorean had to achieve to go Back to the Future. I haven't forgotten since!
