Gauge is cheaper then having a dedicated laptop in your car

With a gauge you won't be able to see data logs of the a/f across the rpm range like you can view on a laptop.

for tuning my car I used the innovative Lm-1, after the car was tuned I switched to a AEM wideband for daily use.

You can see it at the left of my boost gauge.

talking to someone about an innovate. ill keep an a/f gauge under the radio with boost gauge and mbc. then innovate and tunerpro on the laptop. that sounds like the way to go.

You want a visual reference there all the time aka gauge. You can use something like the ZT1 which will also allow you to do detailed logging as well.

I use this http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm setup very happy with it. I think all the WB's let you data log and have gauges on board for constant monitoring.

I have my WB gauge mounted under the radio and have an Arc One narrow band also. You have to data log, when the boost hit you can't really read the WB gauge, numbers don't really mean anything when you have to keep an eye on where your going. You can glance at the NB and as long as you have the blue leds glowing you know all is good.

i think anything other than oil temp gauges below the radio is not a good idea .. You will never look down there in the heat of the moment when it counts ..also if an important gauge is located in dash field of view it can be data logged with rpm etc with a camera

Back in the day Wide Bands were over $800 so yep it's a good deal. I like my Zetronixs but Innovate is a good brand, lots of Standalones have them as a drop down selection in their software.

Again you can add a AF gauge but data log to see how your motor is doing and to tune. Don't try and read a gauge mounted under the radio at full boost! It' won't end well.

The annoyance remark was about a AF gauge on the A pillar. I can see how that could be bothersome 'my WB gaguge is mounted under the radio with the MBC. I data log, the gauge is just for reference, blue face you can't read it in bright light. I have a narrow band with led's also and that you can see easily all the time.
