I'm guessing that there are about 10 in Singapore. You have to buy a certificate to keep a vehicle on the road every 10 years and with the 50% increase in road tax once the car is pass 15 years old, most people would have scrapped or exported their 944s in the 2000s (I pay about US$2000 yearly for road tax). Yes, I did write scrap, as in junk.
I personally know of 3 951s (952s?) and have seen about 4 944s in a workshop....haven't seen much else on the roads. P cars here tend to be the newer ones, though there are a number of older 911s running about.

One 951 factory turbo cab here. It's anyone's guess how many of these are actually registered, too.

Mine's registered but is asleep in storage for the winter.

It's no fun to drive in the snow.

Honestly there are dozens of 951's each week that pass through Zotz and Redbone which I've never crossed paths with here on RL. I would imagine just in the broad orlando vicinity there has to be close to 100 of them, probably the majority being registered vehicles. I think right now at work there are 6 total including mine, my boss's, Derek (Opeth), a red one owned by Steven Eberhardt, a black one owned by Jose DelaTorre, and a white one owned by Charlie Fizer who also owns a couple more 951's and S2's. I don't think they are on RL.

You need to move back down here to O-town buddy

Yea, not much of a car scene up here compared to when living in Orlando or any where in FL for that matter. But I think a lot of that has to do with bad traffic/weather up here so the nice cars and 951 only come out on the weekends or nice days.

I think I have only scene maybe 3 other 951 in the two years I have been up here. But even in Orlando, I would only see a couple here and there and during our 944/951 meets.

Any of the 951 that come through Zotz heavily modded??

I have to say that one good thing about being up here is getting to drive in 30 degree air and it makes a BIG difference from the 90 degree air in FL. Breaking 18x10 rears loose when that cold air hits is nice!!

Agreed, I imagine the weather and traffic conditions contribute to the classic or sports car usage in general between different areas like these.

Some of the 951's that come into Zotz are heavily modified, but nothing yet outrageously super duper over the top. There are a few making right up close to 400whp, and a 968 turbo, making probably over 500, but I'm really not sure. ("Mike O" on RL)

When we have our next 944 meet in a couple months from now we'll see what turns up.

Hey! Actually we are running electrical lines today and hopefully there will be a real heat source installed soon. It is a bit chilly as you know. Look for a gtg in the spring...

Is there a national DMV?

If not I guess we could ball park it. If there were about 25,000 total 951 produced world wide, about what % do you think is still on the road and registered?

I am pretty sure you can search local/state DMV by car type and get a number that way. Many of them might be online now too. Would be a bit of an undertaking but I am sure you could figure it out.

With as many good cars as I have seen parted I would imagine the 951 is getting relatively rare.
