remember when my gold 86 turbo was stolen...
Well, almost three years on and out of the blue the local lakewood, co police sent me a letter to come pick up my property.
The wheels that Cra$h found on craigslist and that were used as the evidence to arrest the guy who stole my car and a few others. Pretty cool. I am selling them as I have no need for them now.
Don't know how many people on the list are still here but thought those who remember the story would want to know about this.

Wow, I remember the car. IIRC you picked it up from a local shop here North of Indianapolis. That's crazy that they had the wheels for so long. I don't understand why they weren't returned sooner. I am suprised they still had your contact information and contacted you. I wonder where they have been storing them all this time?

Yep, I picked the car up in Indy. What a great DD. Brand new motor and suspension, but rough bodywork. I drove that car in all types of weather.
I picked them up a a big warehouse that had racks and racks and racks of stuff. Wheels, computers, TVs, all property waiting to be returned to people.

Wow, I remember when you posted the picture from the security camera of it being driven out of the parking garage where you parked it...glad you were able to get SOMETHING.
What ever happened to the chassis? Scrap?

So I am trying to remember - did you get the car back and they tried pulling the engine by the manifold and busted **** all up?? or you never got the cahssis back?
