I dare say this.. But sodium filled isn't really the only magical valve that can handle the heat. They are lighter, and do transfer heat well, but there really isn't much a good stainless valve can't do.

I had read that the ceramic was 4mm thick and removing it would leave you with an oddly shaped port that would flow less. Somebody must have tried to take one out.

I have also read that the stock n/a head will not flow as much as a turbo head but with proper porting, it can flow more then a Turbo.
