Default Which chips are these?

Going hrough parts/etc. and one of the rollers I purchased, a 1986 944 Turbo set up for SCCA ITE compitition, I opened up the DME and the KLR boxes. Both chips have a white sticker with a hand-written 92-275 in blue ink on them. Any significance?

I have an EPROM reader/burner... I suppose I could read them and compare, if nobody else can do it?

How does the eprom reader work? What does it tell you that identifies the make and type of chip?

it's pretty much like a memory card reader like an SD card but much older technology.
if it's the cup chips it will have different timing map fuel map ect compaired to stock. i'm not sure but it might even have a signature or a watermark somewhere on it.
