Well because possibly the OP doesn't know what he has is worth. Or possibly because a newbie to the board doesn't know what it's worth, and he's trying to keep a new guy from getting hosed?

Not saying whether or not the OP has a good price or not, as I have no idea. But I do pay attention and try to feel out what would be a good price, just for my own knowledge, based on the comments of others. That way if I'm ever in the market for something (either buying or selling) I have a reference of where to start from.
