I know of several 944 turbo track cars for sale in the teens... Don't know of any that have sold.

Yours does have some nice upgrades, but it's a pretty soft market.

95ONE I think you misunderstood I’m not parting it out, I’m thinking of selling it as a whole. Lap times at TWS CC 1.57.XX, MSRH 1.48.XX, Hallett 1.27.XX, ECR 1.59.XX engine is 3 seasons old. pics coming soon.

Well let me say this......

This summer a much more developed race car (fiberglass doors, quarters, fenders, roof, chromoly cage, external reservoir coil over setup, sleeved block with 400+ hp, 968 6 speed LSD box, 18X12 rear 18X10 front, all solid bushing, tarret sways, big reds, etc, etc, etc) sold for $15K. Car absolutely dominated class.

Car sold with spares (turbo, brakes, rotors, wheels, etc).
This after being for sale for nearly a year.

I still kick myself for not jumping on it, but may be a good frame of reference for what you may expect.
Seller took an absolute bath to unload the car.

This thread is depressing knowing what I have spent to build my car from bone stock to full race. Not even to mention all the time and work.

Rene, sounds like a great car, good luck with the sale.

95ONE was estimating what the parts are worth...which usually always exceeds the value of the car so it's a nice number to start at.

Personally I'd say $10k or so depending on the condition and if you sell both sets of CCW's with it.

KEEP IT! The market is soooo soft right now. My car has $50K in it over the years and I'll be lucky to get my $18,500 ask, if at all. There are a few that see the value, but many have tried to steal it from me... Thinking I am going to have to settle for less if I am to sell it now. Damn.

DON'T DO IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

It sounds to me as though you are changing cars. That being the case the soft market works both ways. You will never be able to get a better deal on buying a race car. So why not try and find the car you want first, and depending on how much you have to pay you can decide what the bottom dollar is on your car. At the end of the day its the cost to change over that counts.

Any race car is only worth pennies on a dollar on resale even in a good economy. I have several times over the amount of money in my SCCA ITE race car than what I could ever hope to sell it for. An additional problem that I see with modified 951s is that there are not too many places where they could be raced competively. In SCCA they're classed in ITE together with Vettes and Vipers and they don't stand a chance. In contrast Spec Miatas often fetch respectable sums, especially front running cars, even in today's economy. As Samluke said it works both ways. I'm tempted to get yet another race car because so many people are literally giving them away nowadays.
