Default 1986 951 stock stereo wiring

OK, so I pulled out the aftermarket Kenwood stereo and amp tonight. To my amazement the stock wiring was all there and intact except for the stock speaker plugs. However, there is some wiring that I do not know what it is supposed to go to. If it is wiring for a preamp, where would have the preamp been located?

Can anyone direct me to a wiring diagram so that I can try to figure this out? I did a search but did not get what I was looking for.

My plan is to get this back to stock (well, I think close anyway). I do not have a code on my data plate that tells what was in the car from the factory. So I think I will go with a Reno and an apropriate amp if that is what the wiring is for.....

Thanks,
Ted

Thanks Brian. That helps alot.

What I am unclear on is if the factory main plug wiring for an '86 will support Samluke's 1989 CD player. I emailed him to find out which model this is.

From the manual it looks like you must run the EQ with the CD. Not sure why that would be.

I mistyped I meant radio/tape, ie its the Balupunkt Reno SQR 46, with the BEA80 graphic equalizer that mounts underneath.
