Default DME Wiring Harness Ziptie Part #??

I've ordered/returned three separate sets of zip ties from Auto Atlanta because they don't seem to understand what part I'm looking for, and I can't find it in the PET. Searched RL to see if someone else had asked the question, couldn't find the answer there either.

I'm trying to find the part number for the zipties that hold the DME wiring harness to the firewall, regular zipties with a plastic female connection that screws onto posts from the firewall. Looked everywhere, can't find the part # or nomenclature... It's the last thing I need to have the engine bay ready for an engine again and it's driving me nuts!!

Close... Doesn't say what the inside diameter of the loop is, otherwise I'd order 100 for $30. Didn't think that they would be made of Unobtainium when I cut the ties to remove the old harness. Whoops. It's just REALLY bugging me that I can't find them in the PET

they are made in multiple lengths...does a nut hold it on or is the tie actually screwed onto a threaded stud?

Gentlemen,

I looked up/bought all three of those part numbers. They are just REALLY expensive ($4.60/per) zip ties that are 5-11 inches long. Nothing special about them and they are exactly like something you could pick up at harbor freight for 100/$5.00. And it seems that no-one that is parting a 944/951/968 has bothered to keep any of them.

On a side note: Yes, the zip ties actually screw onto threaded posts on the firewall. Auto Atlanta has some that have a 3.5mm and 6.5mm inside diameter, but the threaded posts are about 4.7mm. So I bought 10 of each (still haven't arrived, been over a week since my order was placed...) and we'll see if they are the right ones. I'm just getting tired of buying "the right part" and then having to return it the next day. And these 20% restocking fees are killing me! Anyway, thanks for letting me vent...

There was a group buy on these a while back (see this thread). The ties were purchased from DigiKey (part #PLST50SC-D30-ND). The catch was that there was a minimum order of 500. But there turned out to be enough interest in the group buy to easily meet this.

If you can track down the supplier (I think its Panduit) sometimes you can you can convince them to sell/give you a small number of samples for 'evaluation' purposes. I've done this a couple of times for hard to find connector parts.

I need like 100 of these if anyone finds them at a decent price with a low min order(I will need more in low amounts as demand requires). I have a suppier that sells similar ones in a SAE thread but have yet to see if one of these are close enough to thread on.

Sadly the best unit of measure(Metric) sizes are ironicaly the most difficult to source. I hope to god that changes. Whoever started the SAE sizing as standard in the US should be shot...along with the guys who design Chryslers.

Thanks to Dare for showing me that other thread. Have the part # (443.971.850.A) and pelican sells them for $1.00/per. It's still a bit spendy, but for factory parts they usually are. Thanks for everyone's help!!

443.971-850.A is the closest fit I have found. They are identical except for the length, but they are long enough. Try Hennessey in Atlanta.

I was going to ask about this part as well. Thanks for beating me to the punch. If you start a group buy on these, I am in.

I wouldn't try to get a group buy going, they are $0.68 at vertex auto. For that price I ordered 35 and I'll probably just give the ones I don't use away to folks that need them.
