Bay Area Eng rebuild
Hey guys,
I 'm seriously considering having my engine rebuilt. I was wondering if any of you know of any reputable shop in the south bay that have 944 turbo engine rebuild experience. I used to do most of the work/repair/maint on my cars but these days I'm just too busy and always on the road these days. Heck I barely drive my car 1k a year now.
I've considered Lindsey and Chris White but I have to send my engine to them. Not completely out of the picture yet but I'd like to reseach local shop availability first. Jerry Woods will be the first shop I'll be visiting tomorrow. I know of a few shops but not sure if any of them have done Engine work before.
Heyer Perf in Mountainview: I think he only service
Kens Sportech: Service
Several more shops in Campbell
Just wondering if any of you have experienced any of these shops or other shops.
My car is a 88 951 S which now has 127k. No I don't really have any issue I want to address. I just want to refresh the car instead of buying another toy.

Probably one of the best Porsche machine shops is Pacific Performance Motorsports in San Mateo. More towards the high performance / racing spectrum, but Mike Stimson has extreme knowledge on these motors. You can Google the site.
Good Luck! John
