Default 951 Roller interest?

Trying to see if there would be any interest in my roller... Im starting to think i need the money more than I need to invest more money into an Ls1 951. Engine threw a rod, all engine parts for sale are on my other thread...

Guards Red exterior
Black and tan interior
lsd transaxle
18" carrera lightweights
EVERY power option works except central locking (bad switch)
including: windows, sunroof, climate control, cruise control, rear hatch button, rear wiper, power driver's seat, and rear defrost.
130,xxx miles
seats have been professionally recovered
968 MO30 sways
Complete new axles
new zimmerman rotors all around
brand new tires
passed va inspection but shortly thereafter, my windshield developed a crack...
all body seals are in great condition, no leaks in the car wash...

again, not for sale quite yet, just wanted to gauge interest... also, i would reeeeeeeally not like to see this thing parted out... it's way too nice for that... if this post is a problem with forum rules, please let me know. thanks alot guys.
Chris

I think you'll get less than its worth in its current condition. Or maybe a long wait for someone wanting this exact project?

It is a stunning representation of a car... Post pics and get offers...

If you sell it as a roller, is there any chance I could convince you to put the phonies back on and sell your wheels????

I have seen this car sitting in his garage, and it makes mine look like a dog, even though mine runs...

Good luck man, sorry to hear you are having doubts about the end point for this car...

Thanks John... Hopefully I can just hold on to it until things are better but it may not work out that way... and I'll get some pictures up soon, just been busy. oh and we can definitely talk about the wheels more seriously if you like, just shoot me a pm
Curt- well thats the big question. at this point any money is better than none but i was thinking of selling it for a little less than what all the "big ticket" items would sell for. may not work out, but worth a try. i guess i consider the wheels, sways, lsd transaxle, and good odds and ends to be worth over 4.5k but that may be unreasonable today... pics to come.

I installed the AFM to get up and running, my MAF is still in limbo right now..waiting for a harness to be repaired in Germany of all places...

Going north Friday morning, south in the afternoon could have been me, I have been driving it daily for the last 2 weeks since putting the AFM back in... I have a few new toys in transit right now (SFR FMIC and new Zietronix controller...)

I should stop by one of these days, let you get a taste of the good stuff so you don't sell....

Pics from a GTG last weekend...

Notice the pretty red couplers I picked up from you... and the damn AFM

I've seen some of your other posts and I'd hate to see this car parted. I'd take it on as a project for the right price, but I just don't know what would be reasonable. Of course, if I took it on, I'd want the wheels to remain on the car

In all actuality, I hope you can keep the car and get it back on the road. I'm sure we could pull together and help you find the parts you need for a reasonable cost. Are you set on going the LSx route? I've been looking into it myself, but to do it right I'd be in the $10k area (including the cost of the engine and PCM).

John- that was definitly you in the afternoon then, lookin good i must say. and man those couplings!

inurgrl- no crashes that i know of... i never carfaxed it and everything seems straigth and true. I talked to Dennis a few weeks ago, he seemed like a good guy. i just told him I would contact him as soon as the head came off and thats not been forthcoming...

curt- yeah i know, ideally, getting it running is the best option and hopefully I can get things sorted out non-porsche related, but until then i have no problem trying to determine whats reasonable... (wow thats a run-on and a half) and im not really set on the lsx, its just been one of things in the back of my mind when the engine blew and here I am... these 4 cyl. are truly great engines, its just that 20 years takes its toll on anything... also included with a v8 conversion is a clutch change, motor mounts, newer motor, and so on, so really its a lot of normal maintenance stuff in that price. so a lot of stuff to consider.

i appreciate all the concern guys
