Hey, all, Wondering if anyone else with one of those black-**** manual boost controllers has run into this. Recently I've started hearing a hissing sound (escaping air) coming from it while under hard boost. I have no problems with it functionally--it still cuts off boost properly at 14psi in fourth, exactly where I set it years ago, but should I be worried about the hissing sound?

Maybe the solution is just to move the **** into the engine compartment where I don't have to listen to it

check the set screws (or w/e u wanna call them) that block off the two ports, you might have a cut hose some where too. If its working right, just let it be. The diaphragms in them do go, I saw repair kits for them some where..

Clamp up those leaks. Hissing noises shouldn't be hidden so you don't hear them.
