Hi Tom,
Just saw your message today and interestingly I also received a photo today of the bearing unit outer housings on the inspection table ready to accept the bearings and their inserts from our manufacturer. So best guess is sometime in November after our final QC inspection of these units. We will post a picture of the production versions so those interested can see them.
These things always seem take a few more weeks than expected. Thank you for your patience!
A bit more information for those interested:
IF everyone who has been put on the list actually buys a set of 4, this first batch is over sold at this time. If this happens, we will place another order quickly.
Pricing for a set of four will be close to buying a rebuilt TT from "944 Online." Did not plan it that way, just factored in our costs and arrived at this approximate figure. Final figure will be given once they arrive and before they are sold to those still interested.
Cheers,

Sorry Constantine, I emailed you from another post before I saw this one. My 968 is out of commission without the bearings so please add me to the list, I need them yesterday! ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Randi and Dan,
You are both on the list!
For those interested,
Update on them very soon to include price and install information that might weed some people out of the waiting list.
As it stands now, the first shipment will be over sold if most waiting buy one (1) set each. If this does happen we will place another order sooner than later.
Cheers,
Constantine

Hello. Just read this post for the first time. New to RL. So my 3.0 is being built and my transaxle and torque tube are coming out this weekend finally. If possible I would like to get a set. I think from what I read in your description I should require 4 since I will be over 400HP.
Thanks,
Jason
Thanks,

Hi Destructo - You are on the list.
Hi Jason - The 944 torque tubes (TTs) always seemed to come with four (4) bearings from the factory. Due to this fact that will always be our default answer to anyone wanting to do a 944 TT rebuild. However for most normal applications we really do believe three (3) of our bearings units would do just fine. 928 models came with up to three bearings in their TTs, even for the longer two (2) piece 5 speed drive shaft versions. The 928 5 speed drive shafts are approximately the same length as the 944 drive shafts.
For all those still interested, these new bearing units will be arriving after the beginning of the year. Sorry for the delay but taking our time to make sure all is perfect and the newer version of the rebuild tool is being finalized.
Happy Holidays,
