The other day I used some MOPAR upper intake cleaner on my truck the instructions reccomend spraying it into the throttle body and keep the rpms about 750. Seemed to work good. I have read people using seafoam to clean the upper intake on our cars, by sucking it through the brake booster.
Today I pulled all fuel purge junk under the hood and in the filler neck tunnel. I was getting alot of umes in the car. For now it is vented under the rear of the car through a small open filter. I need to change the seal on the sending unit as I think it is allowing some fumes to escape when I smoked the gas tank yesterday. Either that or I hav a small leak on the top of the tank.
My question is with the vaccume hose still attached under the throttle body, could I spray the upper intake cleaner there and expect it to reach all the cylinders and effectivly clean the valves and piston tops??
Thanks
Steve
