I finally got around to installing a used FPR from Dan "xsboobs" Jauch last night after we wrapped up the lemons car work. Drove it home and noticed the car felt more responsive (less laggy?) and quicker, especially in the mid-range RPMs. Would that be something I would expect if the car was running rich before?

Crossing my fingers that fixed the problem and the engine wasn't harmed by running rich on the track! Actually, I have no idea how long the FPR could have been acting up. Guess I really should get an A/F gauge. Would a narrow-band one do me any good? (car is totally stock engine and exhaust right now, not even chipped). Or, should I just wait until I do other mods and get a wide-band A/F gauge/monitor like Zietronix?

Thanks for your help and the free FPR Dan! I owe you one. Or two or three...

Narrowband 02 is worthless. Id either dyno it to see where the A/F's are or just get a wideband installed first prior to mods. Its a nice guage to have on board, I watch mine constantly (since my car is a pain in the ***)

Hmm, interesting. Never thought about dynoing to get A/F's. Would be good to get a baseline anyway.
