Default Reference Sensors

Who here has replaced their ref sensors due to cracked / disintegrated connectors on the sensors?

Mine totally disintegrated, I found and ordered new connectors, boots, seals and pins.... got enough to do 10 sensors... if it works cost is less than $20 total to fix em... I'll keep everyone posted...

I bought MOST of the vendors remaining stock, but he can get more with some notice... and I bought more than I really need...

Great idea. I'm replacing mine now. The plastic connectors disintegrated. I replaced the whole thing, but I'm pretty sure just the connectors are bad. If it can be done inexpensively, I'll repair the old connectors for a spare.

I am convinced that 75% of all weird/sudden/inexplicable/PITA no-start situations on our cars are due to disintegrating/faulty connectors and wiring from speed and ref sensors. It's not the sensors themselves, it's the connectors.

Here's my fix from a few years ago:

should work out to be a cost effective repair for damaged sensor conncetors... I just hate the idea of changing the sensor out because a molded connector fell apart...

Well, got the connectors installed, all working now and what not...

I have 2 cars worth extra (I am going to do my N/A as well)..

This replaces the connectors on the sensor themselves, not on the engine bay harness...
