anybody run blizzaks on their 951 for the winter
I have to drive my car this upcoming winter. I drove it a couple time last winter and it handled pretty good for summer tires. You just have to let go of the brakes if you want to steer. Does anyone run the bridgestone blizzaks on their 951. I need to be able to go up hills and stop. Or comments on other winter tires.
thanks

I've had blizzaks on the car for the last two winters and it has been unstoppable. Zero problems (no-abs) and its actually a lot of fun to drive in the snow. Definitely the right choice to put on winter tires, its a night/day difference.

I’m running Blizzak Revo1 205/55-16 91Q on front 7in wheel. (This model may be discontinued).
Have the WS-50 225/50-16 92Q on back 9in wheel, slightly stretched.
These tires with the LSD equal the best rear wheel drive car I’ve driven in the snow. The very soft tread and side walls make the car quite loose at highway speeds. I drove to Atlanta and back in December and learned to be quiet with the steering inputs at 80+… was predictable around 100 when the Tennessee Trooper chased me too.

I've driven a 951 w/ Hankook Ice Bear's and it was great in the snow. Not nearly as squirmy in the dry as the Blizzak's I had on my MR2 a while ago. I'd imagine that not all Blizzak's are squirmy anymore.

I made it through many winters in Cleveland with our ’78 Olds, (open diff), just pull the parking brake enough to put power to both wheels. This works great when moving from a stop on an incline or when kinda stuck. If you’re really buried have a tow strap and tow eye ready.

3 east coast winters and Blizzaks rule grip is good to very good overall cornering could be better braking excellant highway speeds up to 60 in 2 in snow no problem the only problem of higher levels was that my car started to act as a shovel too low for bigger snow falls of 4in or more
