Those rear drum brakes mean that the car in the picture was a 924, still being produced for the Italian market, which had high taxes for larger than 2 liter engines.

This is how I just swapped the entire drivetrain, suspension and brakes from my 89 951 into my S2. I unbolted everything and lifted the body up. Rolled the S2 stuff out and the 951 parts under the body and let it back down.

Reconnect everything and it will run today. The only screw up was I forgot to grab the clutch line off the the clutch m/c. The S2 uses the std. 944 part.

Nope... steel front suspension and aluminum rear suspension on the 924S

Nice!

I actually took off my rear headliner panel recently and noticed the stamp in date "2 Juni 1987" which immediately makes you visualize your car going down the line and some German guy putting it together.
