Occasional, but complete loss of electrical power
Three times in the last week, I have hit a bump (and they were significant) and had a momentary (1 sec or less) loss of electrical power. It's like the car misses, but I know it is more than a miss as the radio and wideband lost power too. I pretty sure all electrical dies - almost like the positive cable came off for a moment.
I did replace the main battery cables about 6 weeks ago, but a quick inspection did not reveal any loose connections at the battery or elsewhere that is easily accessible.
Any thoughts on where to look?
Thanks

Bottom of the relay panel... where the main connections meet the panel, or check your relays... maybe you have a grounding main power lead... grounding out when you hit a bump...

When you say complete power loss, does this mean headlights too? You might be able to narrow your search by what does and doesn't loose power.
I had an instance where a solder lead inside of the ignition relay (leg for the windings) had cracked, causing the car to sporaticly not start and cut out for a second or two while driving.

I would second JoKA on this one. When you did the IceShark thing, did you also do the supplemental positive to the fuse box?
Also, You might want to check the connections down at the starter.
Bonne chance,

Half the pleasure of working on our cars is going under ...
Seriously though, remember the cable routing problems you were talking about in one of your emails? Something might have gone loose down there (maybe the exiter wire from the ignition, or the postive from the alternator?).
Keep us posted
