Default Turbo question

Water jacketed+oil cooled turbo? Or just oil cooled? Need info and opinions on both

For a dedicated track car if you are in the habit of letting the motor run to cool down, I like the oil cooled only. Simpler plumbing, easier to work on stuff, less points of failure.

Water cooling will help with longevity of the turbo, but it does require more plumbing. i personally would not fit a dry turbo to our cars. they come with a water cooled setup and its not hard to retain

I run oil cooling only. It is primarily a track car andI have had it for 2 years with no problems. I do not run extensive cool downs as I think it is counter productive as the hot exhaust gases will not let it cool down. I also have my turbo wrapped. It may cut down on the longevity but ....
