Default Clutch advice

I got a call from the garage today who are rebuilding my race car. Car is an 1988 turbo S and runs in stock class so no crazy power. When they removed the engine they said that the clutch disk is shot. (not sure what is shot whether it is the disk or the springs or what) Luckily the engine was out anyway so I may as well change it. My question is what should I change it to

I looked at the stock clutch and also saw the 'cup' or HD clutch that paragon sells and also the Lindsey racing stage 2 or 3 clutches. My question is............. what should I go for considering it is a stock HP/torque car but only sees the track

opinions?

lol, I was just reading past posts and it was leading me down that path. Would you go for the race version which has the KEP stage one pressure plate? (more clamping force?)

In my situation, is it worth the extra $350?

i would use stock. even with a little more Hp then the stock car a stock clutch handles it just fine. we race our 951 witha stock clutch setup, vitesse stage 3 power. never had a problem and it has the best feel of all the clutch combinations

hey dan, sry to hijack, but might be good for you and I to ask other rennlisters,

while doing a new clutch job, would it be good to buy a new clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder????

ps: I went with the sport & 930disk (but im no more stock) and i bought also the clutch accessories, anything else should I buy?

FWIW, the pedal feel & modulation on the KEP I & 930 disk is very stock like. It is just a tad stiffer, but really not that noticeable. Not trying to sway you, just giving some feedback...

Stock vs KEP.. KEP feels like a normal clutch from the factory.

But for your needs I would go stock and use
the money for other stuff.
