Default Guru chip question

I tried searching but couldn't come up with anything concrete. Does anyone know if the Guru 18psi chips are meant to be used with a 3.0 fpr or not?

I don't think much was available *other* than the 3 bar FPR way back then when Guru was making chips... So I'm pretty confident that's what they had in mind.

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure that it's not meant for a stock fpr and it would run super rich with a 3bar...or vice versa and run lean with a stock one.

The Guru chips I've seen are meant for 3bar FPR.

Had the Guru chips in my car when i bought it and it has a 3 bar fpr on it. I went to the Max AFM chips before going to the Vitesse MAF and thought they were much better than the Guru, FWIW.

If you want to install a MAF, you'd be best off getting a chip mapped for the MAF you're going to install.

From your sig, it looks like you have yet to install the Guru chips? There's newer stuff out now that's better. Price-wise I think Russell Barry's stuff is hard to beat (maxhpkit.com). I ran his chip with stock injectors and stock AFM and it was much nicer than the Guru chip (better gas mileage, didn't have to mash the gas pedal at lower rpm's, more responsive in general).

If you want the full MAF setup, and I know I probably sound like a broken record, but the Vitesse MAF kit (MAF + chip + misc plumbing/wiring) transformed my car. Excellent tune right out of the box.

I don't see an upgraded wastegate or boost control in your sig ... you might want to consider those too.

Have fun!!!

I was really happy with my guru chips, fwiw. I had an adjustable fpr and I was able to get a nice afr. Good response across the board and easy driveability.

The last time I saw Danno was like 3 years ago. Hands down his chips rock; I tried almost every chip out there. Nothing comes close to the torque produced from his chips.
