I bought my 951 w/ 97k. After 3 days the S&F sensors went out. I have about 160k on it now. Today was the first time it acted up. I keep a spare S&R sensor on hand and DME/KLR at the house. I would like to know what might be reccommended times to replace the sensors and fuel pump. I really dont want to be caugt far from home due to an item that could be replaced.
Thanks
Steve

easy replace, but can cripple the car far from home:
Vacuum lines
Fuel Lines (won't leave you stranded, but will cause car to burn to the ground)
Ball joints
wheel bearings
rubber brake lines
Tie rod ends
Not as easy to replace, but a good idea on a 20 year old car:
Radiator
Rubber coolant hoses
engine wiring harness
Cary in glove box:
DME Relay
fuse set

I am starting to think that the speed and reference sensors should be replaced as a precaution at some interval. Maybe along with the O2 sensor. Consider them to be a wear item like other stuff. Maybe
60K miles. Carry the old ones around as a spare.
