I want to rebuild my steering rack but i gave a call to markus and he doesnt have time to do it and he can only do my clutch fork rebuild,
my option is to do it myself since i have the rack rebuild kit from paragon
for those who done it, how's the job?
does it require any special tools if so which one?
you consider it can take how much hours to do it?
thx

Patience, and a desire to get the last seal out... I used a lung machinist pick, and a lot of patience...
don't get in a hurry, and use plenty of ATF to lube it up when re-assembling everything, it shouldn't take too long, maybe 1-2 hours if you go start to finish,
just make sure you clean EVERYTHING really well, and whatever cleaning method you use, make sure all the cleaning agent is off the parts before re-assy or it will contaminate the fluid on re-installation in the car...
you can do it!

Yeah, it isn't too hard. I think the hardest part on mine was just getting the tie rod ends disconnected from the steering knuckle since I didn't have a fork or anything to do it correctly.
