Wanted Turbo Track Car Donor

Wanted Turbo Track Car Donor
I had an argument with a concrete wall, and the shell is not worth repairing. So I am looking for a cheap donor car with a good shell. Interior and drivetrain unimportant. Email me at samluke@sbcglobal.net if you have anything or know of anything.
Thanks Richard

Hey Richard,
i'll send an email to Tim Peterson. His brother had a chassis laying around with a blown motor about a year ago, not sure if he still has it.
Oh, also Nunzio has a white shell sitting outside his shop that has been there for years. They scavange parts off it on occasion.

Richard,
Welcome to the 951 ReTubClub! Its a great group, and you'll be on track again soon enough.
FWIW, this http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...6-13-09-a.html looks like a red hot deal. A clean tub with a Mitch Piper cage [one of the best cage guys around] for $700 is unbelievable. No association, but I would have been all over this if it had been available when I was facing my tub transplant.

There is a guards red NA being parted in Montgomery MO (about 3hrs from KC). I pulled a parking brake part off of it on Wednesday of last week. I didn't look too closely, but the body looks straight. The guy said the motor has been pending sale a couple of times so you might be able to pick it up as a roller without drivetrane.

Thanks guys,
I have had the car for over 10years, and have lots of sweat and tears into it. It has very high sentimental value. I could fix it, but the shells tweaked so needs a pull, and every panel except the passenger fender has been dinged over the years. Its just not worth it.
I have had some great leads.
The sadest thing is that I was supposed to be going to VIR tomorrow, 6 months of prep and planning, and a stupid off in a DE. I wish I could say I was battling for first place, pushing as hard as possible, but no, old rear tires totally shot and I should never have been on track. A lazy spin onto wet grass, and a concrete wall with no tire protection spelled disaster. I am planning to do High Plains mid August, so if I can find something quickly, I should be back in business. My prefernce would be to go full S2, but cars at reasonable prices are hard to find.
I have a 968 that I bought for a TurboRS project (if I ever get to it!) I am tempted to use that, but its too nice.

197 Lives again
197 lives again, thanks to Alex Rivas.
Heading down to Hallett this weekend. New car, new class, we'll see what she can do. There are various things I have to complete, but they can wait for the winter.

Thanks Karl,
Hopefully the next phase will be fun stuff, like paint scheme, and other cosmetic stuff, instead of rebuilding motors and re-shelling cars.
I have never finished a weekend at Hallett despite many attempts. My goal is simply to get a log book and finish the weekend, no heroics.
