Default Front Control Arm Bushings - Removal

I'm trying to install some Racer's Edge bushings on my control arms and realized that the old front bushings are pressed in with no evident way to get them out. On one side I was able to get the inner metal pieces and the rubber out, but trying to knock out the outer metal pieces from the aluminum control arm has me baffled.

How do you do this??

Thanks - Jack

You can make some score lines with a hack saw in the sleeves. Remove blade from hack saw. Put blade thru hole. Attach blade to hack saw.
After you score the metal sleeves you can then knock them out with a hammer and chisel from the center out.

The method described works like a charm, just take care to not score the control arm itself...

Thanks guys - it worked like a charm!! You REALLY have to be careful though because you can't see where the aluminum arm begins when you are sawing. But I was fortunate - I only had the tiniest nick on one corner.

Thanks again - Jack
