Agreed, interior is the tell-tale heart of a car's likely real mileage.

Dissagree. Looks like it just wasn't taken care of. Bet with some interior detailing and leather treatment, it'll all look great.

Side note:

I was offered a 944 with fire damage, but it wasn't just regular fuel line issues. The car was owned by a doctor that commited suicide in. He lit the car on fire and burned himself alive in it. I could have had it for like 500 bucks. Turned it down fast!

It looks more like a 200k mile interior with non existing shift boot, dried up glue, cracked seats and dried up carpets.

I have been around these cars and although they can all be saved there is no way this car has only 57k miles on it by the way it looks. But then, on an old car the miles does not matter much. This can still be a good project to enjoy working on.

Hes right. That either had an odometer swap or a rollback. There are just too many things that show wear.

maybe after the car was disabled, people still lived in the car
