Default Number of times you can resurface a flywheel?

Getting ready for a clutch job on my 180k miles car. Have no idea how many times the clutch has been replaced. Could be twice with these miles.

Planning to have the flywheel resurfaced and balanced with the PP while out.

Question - anyone know about how many times you can resurface the flywheel before you reach minimum thickness? Assume it's never been abused and it just needs a light touchup.

Several months ago there was a thread that had the minimum thickness numbers for the flywheel in it. Hopefully whoever posted it that time will chime in here because we all know how well search doesn't work these days. One of my best friends dads has owned his own tranny shop for 30-35 years now and I seem to recall him telling us once that its rare that you can turn a flywheel more than once.

Once.

Had mine done, it is now at the minimum. Not much meat on these things, go figure.

Hmm. Thanks. Better find out what it takes to get a spare in case mine's at the limit.
