how much oil does the cam carrier get?
After installing my new camshaft, I did the usual break-in prcedure. I took out one of the allen key plugs from the cam tower to see that the cam is getting oil after starting the engine. Running it at 2,000 RPM, I expected to have oil splashing out of the plug hole quite vigorously. But, to my surprise, it didn't seem like the cam was getting that much oil; just a little oil spitting out if there. Is this normal?

have my cam tower off at the moment trying to fix an oil leak from the rear.
The oil galleries in the tower only feed the cam bearings and the sides of the buckets.
Presumably the cam lobes get their lube from splash/pickup, so maybe not as bad as it seems ?
However I am no expert, will hopefully see how mine behaves on Saturday.
