There is a 25 spline and a 33 spline cv joint kit. How do you know what one to but without taking the axle out to count the splines. The car is a 1987 944 Turbo.

the 25 spline axle started with ('87 turbo) chassis # 95HN151524 and all S2...but are yours the original axles?

but I would drop one side of an axle, clean off the grease from the end of the shaft and count the splines to be sure
