Default Dash Recover Pictures

Hi guys,

I had to replace the 0-rings in my heatet core, and since the dash had to come out, I had a local ship recover my dash. It had some small cracks around the defrost vents, and felt since it was out just get it done.

We used a new vinyl that looks and feels like leather. I ordered the metal defrost strip from 928 leather and had everything done for about $500.

Looks great and here are some pictures.

Looks very nice, I've been playing with the idea of black leather with red stitching from 928 leather since I got my cracked to poop dash 951..

Very nice outcome...

Looks nice. Where did you get the material that you used?

You say a "local shop". Is it common to find people to do this type of work?

Is it entirely leather now? If so, do you have any sense for how it will hold up in the sun?

Also, that metal defrost strip is a real improvement.

This is a new vinyl that looks/feels like leather. It was one by www.tucsontops.com and does excellent work. He does all the work for the Moga Collection, who is a good friend of mine.

The material only cost $60. Amazing stuff. Looks like leather without the shrinkage issues being on a dash. Could have done stitching or whatever, but wanted to keep things stock looking.

The vent piece is from www.928leather.com who is a sponsor on Rennlist.
