Rob, why do you say that? Either head can be improved upon and to really push it you will be changing the valves anyway.

Oh, well sure but technically no car would be exactly 3L or whatever litres. I thought that he was mistaking an 'S' version perhaps?

I think he was referring to taking the 2990 cc out to a full 3000 cc. At least that was what I got from it. Just trying to help clarify.

3000 cc means ~104.17mm piston bores.
It may not be easy to find pistons in this size.

No problem, you can get custom ones in any size - incuding silly sizes - that you want!
